New Years Day Morning in Denver Size:24"x36" Walking around Civic Center Park

Walking around Civic Center Park I headed up the steps of the Colorado State Capitol and was treated with a nice view of the mountains with still some fall color in the area

but not before saying Welcome to Glacier National Park

This image was taken in 2010 of the Denver Skyline as the city continues to grow

the colors were vivid still from the last fall color in the city

but will do so in a few weeks for the season bringing more traffic to the road then what I saw on this day

New Years Day Morning in Denver Size:24"x36" Walking around Civic Center ParkFor the first morning of 2014 I headed out to photograph the skyline of Denver as I have done the past couple of years. This morning there was a system which was moving through which prevented a colorful sunrise as we have had the past couple of years. It was still nice to get out and watch the first morning of the year start with Denver as a backdrop. As I left the location some snowflakes were present as well.
